About

Before I left for Oxford, a friend recommended that I keep a travel journal. This blog was originally intended to suit that purpose, but I quickly found myself too busy to do much journal writing. I spent most mornings in the library and most evenings in the King's Arms. I visited castles in Wales, and I went to London twice—once for Westminster Abbey and once for Emirates Stadium. On Sunday mornings, I'd eat lunch at my favorite noodle house and spend the rest of the afternoon getting lost in the city.

As the years go by, it seems to me that there are fewer and fewer opportunities for wandering off the beaten path. I think it's important to slow things down every now and then and to savor life's little moments.
